In asia, your word is more important...who you know establishes your credibility.  Culture takes into account how we deal with people, and some things are valued more than others.

I am not sure the second part of your statement is valid.  Asia and the U.S. have equal business opportunities.  In fact China is competing with us and has a cheaper labor market than we do.</description>
